Moorehall Lodge Ardee, part of Virtue Integrated Elder Care Group, seeks a Healthcare Assistant to support residents with daily living and care plans. You will work as part of a compassionate team, ensuring dignity and privacy, assisting with mobility, meals, and activities, and reporting changes to nursing staff.

• Nursing/Allied Health/Healthcare related degree.
• Experience in elder care.

Responsabilidades

• Provide attention to residents with limited mobility.
• Observe care plans and alert nurses to changes in residents' health.
• Report incidents that may affect health and safety.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with residents and relatives/representatives.
• Contribute to and enhance resident activities and events.

Healthcare Assistant (HCA) | Moorehall Lodge Ardee, Ardee, Co. Louth

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to residents, always promoting their equality and dignity.
• Carry out assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living which may include e.g. washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living.
• Respect the privacy and dignity of all residents and promote their independence.
• Provide particular attention and assist residents who have limited mobility.
• Understand, be knowledgeable on and observe care plans and alert nurses immediately regarding any changes in the physical and mental state of the residents.
• Report immediately any incident or potential incident which may compromise the health and safety of residents or visitors.
• Maintaining a safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors of the home.
• Communicate effectively with all residents and their relatives/representatives.
• Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.

Essential Criteria's:

• QQI Level 5 in healthcare (or equivalent)
• OR Nursing/Allied Health/Healthcare related Degree
• Experience in elder care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong supervisory and motivational skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
