Indaver’s Meath site is a leading waste-to-energy facility delivering sustainable waste management in Ireland. The Health & Safety Specialist oversees EH&S standards for the Municipal Solid Waste business, ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.

The role is a fixed-term contract until August 2027. You will lead H&S activities with the regional team, drive risk assessments, training and incident investigations, and promote a proactive safety

Qualifikationen

• Must have a Diploma or higher in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a role where H&S is a key focus.
• Experience developing, maintaining and executing H&S controls (policies, risk assessments, procedures, manuals, checklists).
• Experience working with multiple teams (process, production, maintenance, QESH) to achieve safety goals.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Knowledge of EPA-licensed facilities and related licensing tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and H&S-specific applications.

Aufgaben

• Establish and maintain H&S documents, policies, risk assessments and tools.
• Conduct regular site visits to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Prepare H&S reports for regulators and insurers, including incident reporting.
• Support Emergency Response Team readiness and training.
• Investigate significant incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Identify H&S training needs and deliver training (e.g., manual handling).
