Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a major Data Centre project in Amsterdam. You will report to the EHS lead and help ensure full compliance with site safety, health, and environmental legislation.

The role covers developing risk assessments, site plans, SOPs, and delivering training to site personnel. A minimum of 3 years in a similar role and a relevant H&S qualification are required, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt to change and accept feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in IT: Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Health & Safety lead in ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Set up site-specific Construction EHS Plan.
• Develop and manage risk assessments & method statements.
• Assist with SOP development and provide training to site personnel.
• Report and investigate incidents and identify root causes.
• Communicate Safety Alerts via Toolbox Talks.
• Ensure statutory forms and inspections are completed and recorded.
• Provide EHS project and documentation support.
• Advise site management on training and first aid requirements.
• Perform other duties as requested by the EHS Manager.

Health & Safety Advisor

Health & Safety Advisor required to work for a General Contractor on a Data Centre project in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be reporting into the sites Health & Safety lead. Our client is in a period of continued growth and have a large order book for the next 5 years+ in the region. They offer both job security and also excellent progression opportunities during this period of their growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Health & Safety lead in ensuring that they are fully compliant and up to date in all Health, Safety & Workplace legislation laid out by the client.
• Ensure the site is adequately set up with a site-specific construction EHS Plan.
• Development and management of risk assessments & method statements.
• Assist with the development of SOP’s and provide training and communication to site personnel.
• Report and Investigate incidents when they occur and ensure root causes are identified, mitigated, and communicated.
• Communicate Safety Alerts through Toolbox Talk on a scheduled basis.
• Ensure statutory forms and inspections are complete and recorded in a timely fashion.
• Provide EHS project and documentation support.
• Advise site management on the training & first aid requirements for the project.
• Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by the EHS Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
