Job summary

Flutter Entertainment is seeking a Head of Systems, Risks & Controls to define and deliver the global strategy for finance systems and internal controls. You will lead a cross-functional, multi-jurisdictional team focused on Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EPM, ensuring robust governance and scalable processes.

You will partner with CFO, Technology, and Transformation to embed controls into strategic programmes, drive data integrity, and ensure audit readiness across geographies.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA/ACCA/CPA or similar).
  • Experience in Finance Systems, Internal Controls, or IT Audit within a global organisation.
  • Proven SOX compliance programme experience.
  • Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EPM implementation or optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the global Systems, Risk & Controls strategy aligned to Finance transformation and regulatory requirements (incl. SOX).
  • Serve as senior authority on finance systems governance, risk frameworks, and control design across ERP, EPM, and related platforms.
  • Partner with CFO leadership, Technology, and Transformation teams to embed systems and controls into strategic programmes.
  • Lead governance and optimisation of core finance systems including Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EPM (FCCS, ARCS, EDM).
  • Support finance data and reporting platforms and drive data integrity.
  • Oversee system design, enhancements, and performance for scalability and integration.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance tech landscape including automation.
  • Lead end-to-end design and effectiveness of systems-based internal controls (ITGCs).
  • Ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness; remediation activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors to enhance control assurance.
  • Build and lead teams across UK, Ireland, India, Europe.
  • Foster ownership and accountability in a matrixed environment.
  • Align systems design with data structures and internal controls for compliant reporting.
  • Act as senior partner to Finance, Technology, Risk, and Audit teams.

Your Team

The Head of Systems, Risk & Controls is accountable for defining and delivering the strategy for finance systems, risk management, and internal controls across the Group. This role will lead the design, build, and stabilisation of a high-performing global team, ensuring robust governance, scalable processes, and a sustainable control environment aligned to SOX and regulatory requirements.

The role operates at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Risk, driving transformation across Oracle Cloud (ERP), EPM platforms, and associated finance systems to enable efficient, controlled, and insight-led financial operations.

What you`ll do
  • Define and deliver the global Systems, Risk & Controls strategy aligned to Finance transformation objectives and regulatory requirements (incl. SOX).
  • Act as the senior authority on finance systems governance, risk frameworks, and control design across ERP, EPM, and related platforms.
  • Partner with CFO leadership, Technology, and Transformation teams to embed systems and controls into strategic programmes.
  • Lead governance and optimisation of core finance systems including: Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM (e.g. Planning, FCCS, ARCS, EDM)
  • Supporting finance data and reporting platforms
  • Be responsible for system design, enhancements, and performance, ensuring scalability, integration, and data integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance technology landscape, including automation and simplification initiatives.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and effectiveness of systems-based internal controls (ITGCs and automated controls).
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and broader regulatory frameworks, including audit readiness and remediation activities.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to maintain and enhance control assurance.
  • Build, lead, and develop teams across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. UK, Ireland, India, Europe).
  • Develop a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within a matrixed environment.
  • Drive alignment between systems design, data structures, and internal controls to enable efficient reporting and compliance.
  • Act as a key senior partner to Finance, Technology, Risk, and Audit team members.
Key Skills
  • Ability to define vision and translate into deliverable roadmaps.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle EPM ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of SOX, ICFR, ITGCs, and COSO frameworks.
  • Confirmed ability to lead large-scale finance transformation programmes.
  • Experience leading distributed teams and operating in a matrix environment.
  • Strong communication and ability to operate at executive level.
  • Ability to balance control, efficiency, and business value.
  • Experience driving adoption and behavioural change across large organisations.
How you`ll do it
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar).
  • Significant experience in Finance Systems, Internal Controls, or IT Audit roles within a global organisation.
  • Proven experience leading SOX compliance programmes and control frameworks.
  • Consistent record in Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM implementation or optimisation.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
  • Prior experience building and leading high-performing teams at scale.
  • Experience within large transformation programmes (e.g. ERP implementations, finance transformation).
