Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Security Architect to design and lead the future of our security strategy and architecture. This is a strategic role for a visionary security leader who will drive the design of future‑fit, AI‑ready security controls and translate emerging agentic‑led security concepts into practical, enterprise‑grade control designs. You will shape our security posture to anticipate tomorrow's threats while mentoring technical teams and collaborating across the organization to embed security excellence into our DNA.
Key Responsibilities
Future‑Focused Security Architecture & Innovation
- Build next‑generation security architectures that anticipate and address emerging threats in an AI‑driven landscape
- Lead the strategic vision and implementation of agentic‑led security models, translating conceptual frameworks into actionable control designs
- Drive the adoption and optimization of AI‑ready security controls and automation across the organization
- Evaluate and integrate cutting‑edge security technologies and frameworks to maintain competitive advantage
- Architect solutions demonstrating AWS, cloud‑native platforms, and specialized security tools to create resilient, scalable security ecosystems
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's long‑term security strategy and roadmap, seeing opportunities for innovation and strategic advancement
Technology Leadership & Expertise
- Provide deep technical expertise and strategic guidance in the deployment and optimization of key security platforms:
- AWS security architecture and infrastructure protection
- Wiz cloud security and workload protection
- Splunk security analytics, SIEM, and threat detection
- Google Threat Intelligence integration and threat contextualization
- CrowdStrike endpoint detection and response (EDR)
- Cato AIM for AI security posture management
- Lead technical security architecture reviews and approvals across all systems and applications
- Drive threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management using advanced tools and AI‑powered insights
- Stay at the forefront of security trends, emerging technologies, and industry guidelines, engaging with the broader security community
Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Lead and mentor technical security teams, fostering a culture of innovation, security excellence, and continuous improvement
- Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, influencing security strategy across the organization
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal partners, technical teams, and third‑party vendors to ensure effective security service delivery
- Collaborate with product, technology, engineering, and business functions to embed security into organisational DNA and ensure secure design and operation of systems and applications
- Champion security‑first thinking in migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives
- Share knowledge within the broader security community and promote security awareness and standard processes across the organisation
Enterprise Security Operations & Compliance
- Be responsible for the implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with modern frameworks and standards
- Manage incident, change, problem, and risk management processes with a focus on prevention and rapid response
- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Support migration and modernisation projects with a focus on cybersecurity standards and future‑readiness
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of security processes and controls, including regular reviews and updates of security policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Significant number of years experience in cybersecurity architecture and design, with significant hands‑on expertise in enterprise security technologies
- Proven deep expertise with AWS security architecture, controls, and procedures in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated expertise with modern cloud security platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and SIEM solutions
- Strong understanding of advanced threat intelligence integration and threat‑driven security architecture
- Hands‑on experience with at least three of the following: Wiz, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Cato AIM, Google Threat Intelligence
- Proven track record of designing and implementing AI‑ready and automated security controls at scale
- Leadership experience managing security teams and driving organisational security initiatives
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, emerging trends, and next‑generation security frameworks
- Experience working in Agile and fast‑paced, evolving threat landscapes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience conceptualising and implementing agentic‑led security models or autonomous security operations
- Expertise in securing AI/ML systems and applications
- Relevant advanced security certifications (CISSP, CCSK, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting large‑scale migration, modernisation, and digital transformation projects
- Background in software engineering, coding, and security automation
- Active engagement with the security community and thought leadership (speaking, publications, etc.)
- Experience in regulated industries with complex compliance requirements
