Flutter Entertainment is seeking a Finance Manager for Global Intercompany & Statutory Reporting. Location split London/Leeds/Dublin with hybrid work in Dublin (2 days/week). This 12-month FTC role supports Polaris, aligning accounting systems and automations to boost efficiency and value.

The role requires a qualified accountant with IFRS/US GAAP experience, strong controls, and the ability to deliver high‑quality reporting in a fast-paced, multinational setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead finance transformation workstreams within Polaris project.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and transfer pricing interactions.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Develop and enhance management reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Review monthly journal postings for accuracy and compliance.

The Finance Manager will work across critical workstreams within Project Polaris, our strategic initiative to transform Flutter Entertainment’s finance function into a best-in-class operation. This role will drive the alignment of accounting systems, and implementation of automation solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic value delivery across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Handle projects related to finance transformation as required. As part of the ongoing Polaris project, work with the systems teams, Deloitte, and other collaborators to align on design and implementation of new finance systems, such as intercompany workbench and ARCS.
• Work in conjunction with the transfer pricing team and tax teams on the accounting for Intercompany arrangements.
• Be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of internal controls. Work with internal controls team and the external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and provide evidence and walkthroughs when needed.
• Continuous development of reports to meet senior management requirements
• Review and approve monthly journal postings to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with SOX scoping requirements, covering internal and external debt postings, interest, FX, monthly recharges and transfer pricing for certain divisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key team members, both those within Intercompany and statutory reporting and those within the Global Finance organisation more broadly such as Treasury and Tax, external auditors, different Flutter brands and divisions and regulators.
• Review the financial packs for assigned departments to a high level of analysis with relevant commentary on variances.
• Other ad‑hoc projects including support on the onboarding and integration of further businesses as the Division pursues inorganic growth opportunities.

How You’ll Do It

• Qualified accountant with strong academic credentials (e.g. honours degree) experience gained in industry or practice, preferably in a plc / multi‑national environment
• Experience in Statutory Reporting preferred
• US GAAP and IFRS experience
• Proven experience in developing/implementing reporting & operational improvements
• Strong financial accounting experience with a solid understanding of current/relevant technical accounting issues
• Strong Financial Systems experience – Oracle and Hyperion would be an advantage
• Excellent MS Office skills, in a fast‑paced environment
• A highly motivated, organized, professional, great teammate
• Strong presentation and communication skills: the ability to accurately and briefly identify key issues and communicate them broadly
• Assertive and confident, collaborating effectively with senior collaborators
• An ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure
• An interest in operational improvement and automation
