Job summary

EirGrid Group invites applications for Head of Networks Projects, reporting to the Chief Infrastructure Officer. You will lead end-to-end delivery of high-value transmission projects across designated regions to strengthen renewable integration and grid resilience.

We seek a seasoned leader with a track record in large-scale infrastructure, strong stakeholder engagement and a deep understanding of power systems and project governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure development, preferably energy/utilities.
• Strong track record delivering significant capital programmes.
• Deep knowledge of transmission systems and renewable integration.
• Experience engaging with communities and stakeholders for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and engage a high performing team in end-to-end project delivery.
• Deliver projects to required scope, cost and timescale with governance.
• Embed optioneering and ensure timely progress decisions.
• Lead application of PMO standards and governance for projects.
• Represent EirGrid externally at infrastructure events and stakeholder engagements.
• Develop milestones and reporting for Integrated Transmission Programme.
• Ensure capability to meet future business needs.
