Job summary

Y-Axis is seeking a senior Product leader to drive the Product-Engineering Partnership within a dual-track Agile environment. You will coach PMs, align discovery with delivery, and translate business goals into a clear roadmap through executive-facing updates.

You will own governance of the product roadmap, partner with Engineering to balance scope and technical debt, and advocate for outcomes-focused delivery, with a strong emphasis on user insights, market data, and Lean execution.

Responsibilities

• Elevating Product Discovery & Conviction
• Advancing Empowered Squads: coach PMs to take deeper ownership of business outcomes
• Continuous Discovery: ensure squads are in contact with users to validate hypotheses
• Bias to Action with Knowledge: decisions rooted in user insights and market data
• Strategic Duo: partner with Director of Engineering to lead the R&D engine
• Discovery vs. Delivery Alignment: synchronize Discovery and Delivery tracks
• Resource & Trade-off Management: manage capacity and trade-offs between new features, debt, and maintenance
• The "Final Answer": gatekeeper for the product roadmap with clear yes/no decisions
• Vacuum Prevention: resolve misalignments across all swimlanes
• Commercial Realism: translate high-level goals into actionable priorities
• Product Operations Mastery: standardize discovery docs and research databases
• Outcome Accountability: manage Product Scorecard and Rolling Roadmap
• Radical Candor: coach PMs to think like owners with strategic independence
• Product Voice to the Company: represent Product org in company meetings and translate roadmaps into narratives
• Evangelizing the Vision: ensure Sales/Marketing/CS understand product direction
• Presentation Excellence: deliver high-impact updates with Pyramid Principle
• The "Slicer": coach PMs to avoid over-scoped features and focus on lean MVPs
• Pushback & Scrappiness: enable cheaper validation options
• Deep-Dive Problem Solving: help PMs deeply understand core user problems
