This startup-style role combines product thinking, stakeholder alignment, innovation leadership, and hands-on technical oversight to deliver value and guide engineering execution, including the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5 years in product, delivery, or engineering lead roles.
• Experience delivering scalable digital/AI-enabled solutions.
• Consulting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of digital, software, data and innovation engagements.
• Translate business requirements into solution backlogs, milestones and outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership across software, data, cloud, analytics, AI.
• Assess feasibility, delivery approach, resources, risks and options early.
• Own project delivery disciplines including scope, timelines, budget, governance and reporting.

Job description

The Innovation Lead (Product Development) will bridge product strategy, innovation, and technical delivery to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-quality solutions. Start-up role combines product thinking, stakeholder alignment, innovation leadership, and hands-on technical oversight to deliver business value and guide engineering execution. The role also requires applying thought leadership to shape product direction, technical decisions, and innovation initiatives, including the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital, software, data and innovation engagements, from discovery and planning through execution, release and client handover.
• Translate business and client requirements into clear solution requirements, delivery plans, prioritised backlogs, milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Provide credible technical leadership across software engineering, data engineering, cloud, analytics, AI and related digital solutions, while drawing on MOYO South Africa for specialist architecture and deep technical expertise.
• Engage in early project and pre-execution phases to assess feasibility, delivery approach, resource requirements, dependencies, risks and solution options.
• Own project delivery disciplines including scope, timelines, budget awareness, resource coordination, risk management, quality, governance and status reporting

5 years in product, delivery, or engineering lead role, interfacing with internal & external stakeholders

Experience building scalable solutions

Consulting experience (advantageous)

Ability to demonstrate exposure to AI and data concepts and their practical application
