Location: Mallow, Co. Cork
Employment Type: Full-time
Viska Systems is an Irish technology company specialising in AI-powered Machine Vision, Robotics and intelligent automation.
We work with manufacturers to solve complex production and quality challenges by developing systems that enable machines to move, think and see.
We are growing, and we are now looking for someone who can help us turn our technology, expertise and market opportunities into the next stage of Viska’s growth.
We are looking for a Head of Growth to take ownership of how Viska generates, develops and nurtures new business opportunities.
This is not a traditional marketing role, nor is it a traditional field sales role.
It sits right between business development, digital marketing, sales development and channel growth.
Your job is ultimately to answer one question:
You will identify the companies and markets we should be talking to, find ways to reach them, create content that gets their attention, develop our digital presence, build relationships with potential partners, generate inbound and outbound leads, and turn those leads into genuine sales opportunities.
Most importantly, this is a hands-on role.
We are a growing company, so you won’t be joining a large sales and marketing department with a team to execute your ideas. You’ll have considerable freedom to decide what we should do, but you’ll also be expected to roll up your sleeves and make it happen. As results build and the team expands, you’ll help shape a broader growth function rather than carrying everything on your own shoulders.
One day you might be developing a campaign for a particular manufacturing sector. The next you could be writing a case study, improving a webpage, researching target companies, reaching out to prospects on LinkedIn, meeting a potential technology partner, following up an inbound enquiry or sitting with our engineers to understand an application that could become our next sales opportunity.
We want someone who enjoys that variety.
Take ownership of building a consistent pipeline of high-quality opportunities for Viska.
You will:
Our digital presence should be a sales tool, not simply an online brochure.
You will take practical ownership of developing it.
This will include:
You don’t need to be a software developer or graphic designer, but you should be comfortable getting into a CMS, creating and publishing content, using modern digital tools and figuring things out.
Direct sales won’t be our only route to growth.
You will help identify and develop relationships that can expand Viska’s reach in Ireland and internationally.
This could include:
You will identify potential partners, initiate conversations, develop relationships and work with them to uncover joint opportunities.
We don’t just want a database of partners – we want active relationships that create opportunities.
You will:
We’re less interested in finding someone who ticks every box than finding someone with the ability, drive and curiosity to build something.
You could be an experienced growth professional or an ambitious B2B salesperson ready to take significantly more ownership.
What matters is how you operate.
You are likely to be someone who:
Experience in industrial automation, engineering, manufacturing, robotics, machine vision or a related technical sector would be valuable. A relevant qualification in business, sales, marketing, engineering or a related field is welcome, but demonstrated ability and results matter more.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend every week travelling making traditional sales calls.
There will be customer meetings, exhibitions, networking and partner visits where they add value, but the emphasis is on building a scalable growth engine using digital channels, targeted business development, content and partnerships.
It also isn’t a role where you’ll simply manage external agencies or tell other people what needs to be done.
We need someone who can own the thinking and the execution.
We won’t measure success by how many LinkedIn posts were published or how many emails were sent.
We’ll look at whether your work is helping Viska build a stronger commercial engine.
That means things such as:
Ultimately, success means helping create a repeatable and scalable way of generating the right opportunities for Viska Systems.
This is an opportunity to have a real influence on the growth of an ambitious Irish technology company.
You won’t inherit a rigid playbook. You’ll have the opportunity to help create it.
You’ll work directly with the management and technical team, get close to our customers and technology, and have significant autonomy to test ideas and shape how Viska approaches growth.
For the right person, the role offers significant scope to grow alongside the company and build the growth function as Viska scales.
If you’re looking for a role where everything is already defined and you simply need to execute an established process, this probably isn’t it.
But if you like the idea of building, experimenting, taking ownership and seeing the direct commercial impact of your work, we’d like to hear from you.
