Job summary

Occupli is partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit a Head of Engineering – Multi-Site in Ireland. The role oversees engineering strategy across multiple sites, directing mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines to deliver scalable solutions for demanding environments.

The successful candidate will be a senior leader with strong people management, operational discipline and business acumen, capable of shaping the function and driving performance

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leadership experience within a complex manufacturing, automation, machinery or engineered-product environment.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across more than one location or business unit.
• Strong background in the delivery of complex engineered products or equipment from concept through design, manufacture, testing and customer delivery.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering systems, change control, technical documentation and quality processes.
• A confident, credible leader who can operate strategically while remaining connected to engineering execution.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the engineering strategy across multiple locations.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams, creating a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, automation and related engineering disciplines.
• Drive engineering standards, design quality, common platforms and repeatable solutions.
• Ensure engineering resources and capability are aligned with business priorities and project requirements.
• Partner closely with manufacturing, projects, quality and commercial leadership to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and deliverable.
• Champion engineering excellence, compliance, innovation and robust technical governance.
• Build future capability through talent development, succession planning and targeted skills growth.
• Use engineering and operational data to improve productivity, quality and delivery performance.
