Job summary

Atrium EMEA is seeking a Head of Compliance (PCF12) for our Dublin client on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role oversees the Dublin Branch Compliance function and executes the branch's compliance plan, with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.

You will act as the Branch's liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland, provide regulatory guidance to operations, and lead the development of training and testing programs to ensure strong compliance controls across the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Compliance function for the Dublin Branch.
• Be responsible for the execution of the compliance plan for the Branch.
• Act as Branch's point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland for compliance with supervisory and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regulatory guidance to operational business areas for activities conducted through the Branch.
• Lead and develop the compliance team and collaborate with business units to develop training materials.
• Monitor and test compliance controls, escalate issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Job description

Atrium EMEA is looking for an accomplished Head of Compliance (PCF12) for a Dublin client. This is a 12mth FTC MAT leave cover. You will oversee the Compliance function for the Dublin Branch and be responsible for the execution of the compliance plan for the Branch. 4 days work onsite and 1 day remote.

• Ensure that the Branch only conducts business within its permissions and prevents any business activity beyond those permissions until they are granted.
• Acting as the Branch's point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland with respect to compliance with supervisory and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regulatory guidance to the operational business areas for any business conducted through the Branch, respond to and develop compliance reporting and may present reporting to leadership support, contribute to testing reviews involving the Branch and advise on suitable corrective action.
• Act as a Data Protection Lead for the branch.
• Work with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer/PCF52 of the Dublin Branch and the Financial Crime Compliance Team.
• Continuous adherence to the Standards of Fitness and Probity issued by the Central Bank of Ireland
• Compliance Oversight Responsibility for all businesses contracted through the Branch
• Lead and develop the Compliance Function in the Branch ensuring the staff employed have adequate knowledge, experience and skill sets on compliance requirements to perform their roles. Collaborate with the business unit to develop appropriate training materials.
• Manage the Dublin Compliance team responsible for assessing the effectiveness of complex controls by supporting and providing input to the Compliance Testing programs involving the Branch. In coordination with the Compliance Testing teams, monitor the application of relevant regulatory rules by the business contracting through the Branch, report compliance concerns to the Branch Management and recommend additional or enhanced procedures to maintain the required control environment. Review reporting produced by the team and appropriately escalates issues to more senior managers.
