Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Automation & Digital Manufacturing at the Athlone site. Lead the strategic roadmap for automation, OT, and digital manufacturing, ensuring validated, secure, and compliant systems across manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, IT, Engineering and global functions to drive AI-enabled analytics, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and capital projects from concept through handover.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in automation/electrical/computer engineering or related field, with advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of GMP/pharma manufacturing experience and leadership of automation teams.
Proven experience delivering complex capital projects and managing budgets in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Lead site automation, OT, and digital manufacturing strategy and roadmaps.
Ensure systems are validated, secure, available, compliant and inspection-ready.
Partner with IT, quality, validation, and manufacturing to implement AI and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Manage vendors, systems integrators, and capital projects from concept to handover.
