Job summary

Bon Secours Health System in Dublin seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager II (CNM II) for the High Dependency Unit. You will lead and develop the nursing and support team to ensure excellence in patient care under the HDU framework.

The role focuses on planning, coordinating resources, maintaining professional standards, and advancing HDU practice in line with hospital policy. A management qualification and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered General Nurse (RGN) on the NMBI Live Register.
• Must have a management course or be willing to undertake one.
• Minimum 3–5 years clinical experience.
• Completion of the HDU Competency Assessment preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate holistic nursing care in HDU.
• Provide clinical direction and support to nursing staff and HCAs.
• Lead, manage and motivate the nursing team, delegating responsibilities as appropriate.
• Report incidents to Nursing Directors with full documentation and legal awareness.
• Coordinate unit activities with other hospital departments to ensure quality service.
