Ei Electronics is seeking a practical Hardware Validation Engineer in Shannon, Ireland to verify and validate electronic products across the development lifecycle. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in hardware validation, electronics testing, or lab engineering.
• Strong experience with electronic products and PCB assemblies.
• Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs and datasheets.
• Experience using standard electronics laboratory equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and structured testing/documentation.

Aufgaben

• Develop, maintain, and execute hardware validation plans, tests, and reports.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs for validation/testability.
• Perform functional, electrical, environmental, and reliability testing.
• Validate analogue, digital, power, sensor, RF, and embedded hardware designs.
• Conduct testing across operating conditions including voltage, temperature, and environment.
• Perform design verification, current consumption, power, startup/shutdown testing.
• Support EMC pre-compliance testing (ESD, surge, emissions, immunity).
• Conduct electrical robustness and safety-related testing on mains-powered products.
• Investigate failures, reproduce issues, support root-cause analysis, verify corrective actions.
• Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, environmental chambers).
• Maintain clear test records and produce structured technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory and performance requirements.
