Hard Services Manager – Critical Facilities Lead (M&E)

Job summary

Coopero Ltd. is seeking a Hard Services Manager for a 6-month contract with a pharmaceutical client in Waterford. You will head the facilities team, oversee critical Electrical/Mechanical/DC infrastructure, and manage inspection, operation and maintenance with a strong focus on risk management.

You will lead service delivery, drive safety and QHSE compliance, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure SOPs are followed. A tested background in critical environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environment operations
• Electrical/Mechanical Apprenticeship or associated third level qualification
• Ability to lead a team under pressure and deliver services within time constraints

Responsibilities

• Operate M&E systems in a competent, effective and efficient manner, including HV electrical isolations/operations
• Ensure Specialist Subcontractor works follow SOPs/MOP/PTW/client change requests
• Sign-off on subcontractor work, inspect quality, communicate recommendations to Technical Manager
• Provide engineering relief cover during absences and maintain minimum staffing levels
• Accurately report completed work orders and record spares/stock usage
• Attend weekly team and client meetings with management
• Lead review of MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs and conduct scenario drills
• Complete shift handover reports and communicate significant events to shifts and management
• Manage and prioritise resources to meet client SLA requests
• Champion QHSE compliance activities and risk reporting
• Ensure compliance with CEM processes and risk documentation for critical works
• Liaise with supply chain for M&E components
• Attend nominated training courses and promote a culture of training and development
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work and QHSE procedures
• Coach new employees and drive PM task allocation each month
• Participate in QA processes to validate completed works
