Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join a busy manufacturing site. This hands-on role involves working on the floor with managers and staff to promote safe practices, support compliance and strengthen the safety culture across the site.

You will manage risk assessments, SWOPs, inductions and incident investigations, ensuring documentation is current and compliant with legislation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years professional experience required.
• Working knowledge of formal Management systems.
• Active member of IOSH or similar accredited body.
• Ability to communicate complex matters confidently at all levels.
• Self-disciplined and able to drive tasks to completion within timescales.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint for professional communications.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working practices and drive a strong safety culture on site.
• Progress risk assessments and safe systems of work; keep MD informed of legislation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and ACOPs.
• Manage RA and SWOP processes and reviews by Supervisors/Managers.
• Deliver health, safety induction for new starters, contractors and visitors.
• Lead incident investigation, near-miss reporting and corrective actions.
