Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a maintenance operative to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and fabric works across nationwide contracts. You will review and improve maintenance routines and assist in small project works.

The role involves liaising with Helpdesk, carrying out mechanical and general fabric tasks, identifying issues, and ensuring safe use of tools while meeting safety standards and contract SLAs.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair skills with basic facilities experience.
• Ability to fault finding and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Helpdesk to carry out planned preventatives.
• Carry out minor mechanical and general building fabric maintenance duties.
• proactively identify maintenance issues and report to Helpdesk.
• Respond to queries from Helpdesk and Contract Managers to meet SLAs.
• Interact with colleagues, suppliers and contractors in a timely, courteous manner.
• Ensure safe use of hand and power tools and that equipment is calibrated/tested.
• Support other departments and assist in short- and long-term projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction as part of a team.
