Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline plc in Ireland is seeking a Patient Pathway Manager with a Haematology focus to lead national pathway projects, improve patient outcomes and make treatment journeys easier to navigate.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, patient groups and cross-functional teams to identify barriers, gather insights, design practical tools, and monitor impact. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers hybrid working and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, public health, or a related field.
• Experience in hematology, oncology or another relevant specialist-care setting.
• Experience in patient engagement, healthcare project management, or pathway coordination.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex information to diverse audiences.
• Experience working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and external partners.
• Good organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of patient pathway projects in Ireland to improve patient outcomes and experience.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, patient groups, and colleagues across functions to identify barriers and opportunities in patient care.
• Gather, analyse, and share insights from patients and healthcare professionals to inform pathway improvements.
• Develop and maintain clear, practical tools and communication materials that support pathway navigation for patients and healthcare teams.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of pathway initiatives to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including medical, commercial, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
