Job summary

Aura Lucan is seeking a qualified Level 1 Gymnastics Coach on a part-time basis to join our team in Aura Lucan. Provide safe, progressive coaching in a fun environment and lead by example.

Ideal candidate has a proven coaching background, strong English, and a genuine passion for working with children. Role requires evenings and weekend availability, with a competitive hourly rate in a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Gym Start Level 1 or discipline specific level 1 coaching award from a recognised awarding body.
• Proven record of supervised gymnastics coaching to a satisfactory standard (minimum of 1 year).
• Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, progressions and safety practice.
• Be a role model for young athletes, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
• Flexible in relation to working requirements, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging recreational gymnastics sessions for different ages and ability levels.
• Supervise the class at all times and ensure equipment is used safely.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help athletes improve their skills.
• Work collaboratively with fellow coaches to ensure consistency and enjoyment across all sessions.
• Demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Maintain a high service environment through appearance and attitude.
• Ensure the highest operational standards regarding cleanliness, facilities, staff, safety and service.

Job description

We are looking for a qualified Level 1 Gymnastic Coach on a Part Time basis to join our team at Aura Lucan.

We are looking to for an enthusiastic Participation Based Gymnastics Coach to provide coaching in a safe, fun and progressive gymnastics environment.

The role is ideal for a resourceful and experienced gymnastics coach, with a proven coaching background who takes pride in their work, likes to lead by example.

Here’s what we need from you:

• Gym Start Level 1 or discipline specific level 1 coaching award from a recognised awarding body
• Proven record of supervised gymnastics coaching to a satisfactory standard (minimum of 1 year)
• Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, progressions and safety practice
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning atmosphere
• Be a role model for young athletes, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
• Flexible in relation to working requirements, hours/days of work – available to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the business
• Due to the nature of this role fluent English is required

The basic rates of pay for the role are:

€ 14.30 per hour Monday to Saturday

€ 16.02 per hour Sunday

Fitness class rates (based on qualification and teaching experience):
