Job summary

Carton House, a five-star resort and the first Fairmont Hotel in Ireland, invites applications for a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Executive on site in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The role supports the Sales & Marketing team with conferences, meetings and private events, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences and forming strong client relationships. We seek someone with 1–2 years in a similar role, a solid understanding of hotel operations, and strong communication and negotiation

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a similar role.
• Real understanding of hotel operations, specifically Conference and Events.
• Experience in liaising with clients and delivering events.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
• Produce detailed function sheets and coordinate with operations to exceed client expectations.
• Communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to deliver projects efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• Collaborate with sales team and senior management to promote hotel goals.
• Ensure fluid communication of events to all hotel departments.
• Promote cross-sell of Food & Beverage outlets as appropriate.

We are currently recruiting aGroups, Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our Sales & Marketing team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
• To produce detailed function sheets for each event and to send out in a timely fashion – to then work in collaboration with our operations team to ensure the delivery of the event exceeds our client's expectations.
• To communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• To work as part of the sales team; to contribute to & assist senior management in promoting hotel goals.
• Ensure there is fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments.
• To promote sell-up opportunity, cross-sell of F&B outlets as appropriate.

Key Requirements:

• Have a real understanding of hotel operations and specifically Conference and Events.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of Opera ideal but not essential.
• A structured and organized approach to work planning
