Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with a successful track record in a senior finance role.
• Experience overseeing the finances of multiple businesses or entities.
• Strong grasp of financial reporting and complex accounting requirements.
• Able to lead a team while remaining involved in day-to-day finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Group financial reporting and timely delivery of management information.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end activities across multiple entities.
• Oversee statutory accounts, external audits and financial compliance.
• Maintain internal controls and oversight of the Group's financial position.
• Manage and develop the finance team and support performance development.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Deliver financial analysis and insight to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and reporting processes.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior position offering the opportunity to take a leading role in the finance function of a growing business. The successful candidate will have responsibility for financial operations across multiple entities, managing a team and working closely with senior management to support business performance and future development.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Group financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of management information.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end activities across multiple entities.
• Oversee statutory accounts, external audits and financial compliance.
• Maintain effective internal controls and ensure appropriate oversight of the Group's financial position.
• Manage and develop the finance team, supporting performance and professional development.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Deliver financial analysis and insight to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems, reporting processes and operational efficiency.
• Work alongside the CFO on wider business initiatives and projects.

Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a successful track record in a senior finance role.
• Experience overseeing the finances of multiple businesses or entities.
• A strong grasp of financial reporting and the ability to manage complex accounting requirements.
• Comfortable leading a team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day finance function.
• Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work closely with senior decision-makers.
• Able to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently in a busy environment.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving how a finance department operates.
• Comfortable working with financial systems and using technology to improve efficiency.
• Previous experience in a regulated environment.
