Job summary

Lir Steelworks Ltd in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, Ireland is hiring a Ground Worker to support groundwork and site-based activities on various projects. You will work as part of a team to prepare sites, handle materials and assist with steel installations.

The role requires hands-on experience with hand and power tools, reading drawings, and a valid Irish driving licence. SafePass and Manual Handling training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Groundwork or construction experience essential.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Full clean Irish driving licence; SafePass and Manual Handling training preferable.
• Ability to read drawings and measurements.
• Trade qualification or construction-related training is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundwork and construction activities.
• Assist with installation of steel structures on sites.
• Prepare foundations, holes and ground surfaces to spec.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and small machinery safely.
• Read drawings and follow measurements accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized site environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
• Be willing to travel to customer sites and work outdoors.
