Emerald Airlines is Ireland's newest airline, and we're building something special at Dublin Airport. We are currently recruiting for Baggage Hall and Ramp Agents to join our ground handling team. Whether you have experience in aviation or you're starting from scratch, both experienced and non‑experienced individuals are welcome to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
You will report directly to the Crew Chief and play a vital role in daily operations. The role requires flexibility, working across both Apron and Baggage Hall duties to ensure operational continuity.
- Set up and prepare aircraft service areas
- Baggage handling and transport – multitasking is essential
- Aircraft chocking and coning
- GPU input and output operations
- Marshalling passengers safely to and from the aircraft
- Loading and unloading aircraft within tight timelines
- Headset procedures during pushback and refuelling
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and departure deadlines
- Airport driving and crew transport when required
- Liaise with Team Leaders and Flight Crews
- Coordinate across departments – OCC, Flight Ops, Inflight, Engineering, Catering, and Fuelling
- Deliver On‑Time Performance by minimizing or eliminating potential delays
- Recover disrupted schedules when needed
- Follow all airline, airport, ATC, and authority safety and compliance regulations
- Maintain ground service equipment and complete assigned procedures
- Read and interpret weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials labels, loading manifests, and flight logs
- Any other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Apron Supervisor
What We're Looking For
- Over 18 years of age
- Hold a full clean Irish driving licence
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to pass Garda vetting and a full background check
- Medically fit for the physical demands of the role
The Schedule
This is a 42.5 hour work week with a regular roster pattern: 2 earlies, 2 lates, 2 days off. The position also requires flexibility to cover first wave, second wave, and operational disruptions as needed.
