Job summary

AECOM is seeking talented graduates to join our Traffic Engineering teams across the UK and Ireland. You will support the development of designs and practical solutions for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, gaining experience across the full project lifecycle.

Working with experienced engineers in multidisciplinary teams, you’ll learn software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LinSig, TRANSYT and VISSIM, and you’ll grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with mentoring and structured training.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil Engineering, General Engineering or Geography with 2:1 or above.
• MEng in Civil Engineering or General Engineering with 2:1 or above would be advantageous.
• MA/MSc in Geography, Transport Planning or related discipline advantageous.
• Master’s in Mathematics or another quantitative discipline would also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of designs and technical solutions through project stages.
• Attend site visits, meetings and workshops with clients and design professionals.
• Work collaboratively with clients and other design professionals.
• Receive training in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LinSig, TRANSYT and VISSIM.
• Grow responsibility for project tasks and deliverables from inception to completion.
• Contribute to a variety of projects including road/street design, junction/intersection design, cycle facilities and traffic modelling.
