Job summary

McDermott Laboratories Limited, part of Viatris, invites graduates to join the 2026 Graduate Development Programme in Ireland. The two-year rotation across Production, Automation, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs and OpEx will develop technical and business skills.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day pharmaceutical operations and receive mentorship from senior colleagues, with opportunities at Dublin, Cork, Galway sites and the global Dublin office.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduates with an Honours degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
  • A grade of 2.1 or higher is required for the programme.
  • Demonstrated success in previous work experience, placement, or extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in 3 structured rotations across site departments such as Production, Automation, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs and OpEx.
  • Gain exposure to day-to-day operations in a pharmaceutical organisation while being assigned to specific impactful projects.
  • Receive continuous mentorship and training from senior colleagues who will guide your growth and development.
  • Expand your technical abilities and key business skills in a progressive, innovative environment.
  • Graduate will participate in careers fairs, TY & STEM Ireland events.

About the Programme

Launching in September 2025, the Viatris Graduate Development Programme is designed to equip high-performing graduates with the skills, knowledge, and experience to thrive in a dynamic global healthcare environment.

Throughout this two-year programme, participants will rotate across three well-structured departments at one of our cutting-edge pharmaceutical sites in Dublin, Cork, Galway, or our Global office in Dublin. Our locations include the manufacturing sites in Damastown (Dublin 15), Baldoyle (Dublin 13), Inverin (Galway), Little Island (Cork) and the corporate office in Northern Cross (Dublin 17).

What You Will Be Doing

Who We Are Looking For
  • Recent graduates or upcoming graduates with an Honours degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), 3rd level qualification. A grade of 2.1 or higher is a requirement for the programme.
  • Demonstrated success in previous work experience, placement, or extracurricular activities.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry; Production, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain etc.
  • High achievers who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicators with a passion for making a difference in healthcare.
