Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Quality Engineer on a defined-term (23-month) basis to join our Clonmel team. You will build your engineering career by providing Process and Quality Engineering support to manufacturing, helping deliver high-quality products for patients and customers.

Key responsibilities include identifying and controlling manufacturing process defects, data-bound change implementations, and leading process improvement to enhance yield and reduce cycle

Qualifications

• Hons Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in engineering or science is required.
• Ideally graduated within the past two years.
• Relevant work experience or completion of a co-op program.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Identify and help control manufacturing process defects, including scrap, nonconforming material and customer complaints, by participating in teams focused on root cause identification and corrective and preventive actions.
• Query and bound data to support the implementation of complex changes and document release criteria, as required.
• Lead process improvement efforts by identifying methods to capture quality metrics and performing appropriate analyses to support sustaining product design and new product development.
• Support the creation of quality tools and training materials by understanding the limitations of existing resources and helping identify more effective solutions.
• Support manufacturing by training operators on processes and engineering changes and conducting operator certification, on-the-job training and testing.
• Build knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures.
• Develop process improvement skills by supporting Engineering in researching and validating changes to processes, equipment and test methods to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time in accordance with established procedures.
