Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Graduate QA Tester in its Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability group. You will collaborate with Developers, SMEs, Architects, and PMO teams to define test scenarios, execute tests, and publish reports for given requirements.

You will contribute to automation efforts, engage with DevOps/Agile tools, and help improve delivery excellence across projects in a hybrid work setting in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Related co-op or internship with portfolio is helpful.
• Knowledge of automation tools, test plans, and defects lifecycle management.

What You'll Be Doing...

As a Graduate QA Tester in Verizon's Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability group, you will be working with external stakeholders communicating with business partners, Dev, UAT, E2E teams and the PMO teams.

• Working with a team of quality engineers, partners like Developers, SME and Architect on test activities for deliverables.
• Defining test scenarios, test cases, executing of tests, publish test reports for given set of requirements.
• Working on automation using standard test automation tools for the respective area of work.
• Utilizing the testing lifecycles tools, DevOps/Agile tools for day-to-day operations, status reporting and to collaborate with other partners.
• Improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.

You'll Need To Have

• Recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• A related co-op or internship experience, with proven project and work experience (a portfolio is helpful).
• Knowledge of automation tools, developing software test plans, managing defects lifecycle using standard tools.
• To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in working in Agile/SAFe teams.
• Experience with testing principles applying different testing techniques to deliver a High Quality product.
