Job summary

Dornan invites applications for its Planning Graduate Programme 2027 to be placed on projects across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe. You will receive on‑the‑job training under a Senior Planner in a live construction environment.

Your day‑to‑day will include developing the Project Controls Systems, setting up WBS, PMS, schedules, and cost loading, baselining the schedule and monitoring progress. We seek candidates working towards a Level 8 Construction Management degree with excellent

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Construction Management or related Degree (Level 8).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Project Controls Systems: Setting up WBS, PMS, develop the Schedule, S-Curves and Manpower Histograms; Cost Loading of Programs (as required); Baseline the Schedule.
• Implementing the Project Controls systems.
• Progress Measuring of all works, Direct & Sub-Contract, using the Dornan bespoke PMS.
• Monitoring of labour hours & Analysis of labour efficiencies.
• Updating project schedule in Primavera/ASTA.
• Systems Turnover Tracking.
• Monitor delays & client Notifications as required.
