Job summary

Recruit Engineers is currently recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

This hands-on role offers exposure to the design and manufacture of engineered pumping systems within an international engineering and manufacturing environment. As a graduate, you will create 2D/3D drawings, assist with pump designs, prepare BOMs and production documentation, and collaborate with Engineering, Production and Purchasing teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Graduate or recently qualified Mechanical Engineer.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Strong technical and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Creating 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Assisting with the design of pumps, base plates and associated equipment.
• Preparing fabrication and general arrangement drawings.
• Creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Preparing production documentation from engineering drawings.
• Providing technical support to Production and other internal departments.
• Working closely with Engineering, Production, Sales and Purchasing teams.
• Supporting the engineering team in delivering projects to required production deadlines.

The Role

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will work within the Engineering Department and gain experience in the design and development of bespoke pumping systems and associated equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Assisting with the design of pumps, base plates and associated equipment.
• Preparing fabrication and general arrangement drawings.
• Creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Preparing production documentation from engineering drawings.

Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Edge or similar CAD packages would be advantageous, but graduates with a strong engineering foundation will also be considered.
