Job summary

Aerogen, headquartered in Galway, Ireland, is the world leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery. The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will design, verify, and transfer to manufacture Aerogen's devices for Hospital, Homecare, and Emergency Care applications.

Working within the Mechanical Design Engineering team, you will develop technical skills, perform 3D CAD modeling, support DV testing, and collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions to deliver innovative medical devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Level 8 minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, prototyping, and testing of Aerogen's medical devices.
• Produce 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles under guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with tolerance analysis, material selection, and component development.
• Support the development and execution of Design Verification (DV) testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
