Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in material selection and evaluation for new and existing products.
• Conduct material testing and analysis for performance and compliance.
• Investigate material failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide material input for product development projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to improve performance and efficiency.
• Analyse test results and prepare stakeholder reports.
• Assist with supplier evaluations and material qualification.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement in material performance, sustainability and cost reduction.
• Stay informed on materials tech, processes and best practices.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

Graduate Materials Engineer

Are you looking to kick-start your career as a Graduate Materials Engineer and gain valuable experience in a growing organisation? If so, we are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our Manufacturing Team. We want to be part of your career journey and help you development your career.

At the end of your 2-year Graduate Programme, you will have gained: International work experience, a qualification reliant to your field, fully trained in-house auditor and 2-years work experience. The successful candidate must be available to relocate to a sister company for a period of 6 months should the opportunity present itself.

Duties Include

• Assist in the selection and evaluation of materials for new and existing products
• Conduct material testing and analysis to assess performance, durability and compliance with specification
• Support investigations into material failures, defects and quality concerns, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist with product development projects by providing material- related technical input and recommendations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to improve product performance and production efficiency.
• Analyse test results and prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Assist with supplier evaluations and the qualification of new materials and components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and internal quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on material performance, sustainability and cost reduction.
• Stay informed of developments in materials technology, manufacturing processes and industry best practices.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures while carrying out engineering activities.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
