Job summary

Dawn Meats is recruiting a Supply Chain & Logistics Graduate to support day-to-day transport and logistics activities at Carrolls Cross, Co. Waterford. You will gain exposure to transport scheduling, stock movement, and end-to-end supply chain operations while contributing to continuous improvement projects.

This role is ideal for a graduate aiming to build a career in logistics, transport operations, or supply chain management within the food industry.

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Food Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Support the Transport and Logistics team with daily planning and scheduling activities.
Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure customer service requirements are achieved.
Monitor transport performance and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and cost control.
Liaise with hauliers, drivers, production teams, and external customers to ensure smooth product movement.
Support customer order fulfilment and ensure delivery schedules align with production plans.
Analyse logistics and transport data, producing reports and KPIs for management review.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving logistics efficiency and customer service.
Ensure all activities comply with food safety, quality, traceability, and health & safety requirements.
