Job summary

BnM is seeking a Graduate Grid Engineer to support the Grid Team and deliver electrical infrastructure for BnM projects in Ireland. You will work with the Senior Grid Engineer on planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning across renewable energy schemes.

You will gain exposure to grid connections, regulatory requirements and performance testing while contributing to the growth of BnM's renewable energy portfolio and delivery of projects on time and in specification.

Qualifications

Honours degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering required.
Postgraduate (Level 9) qualification in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
Full clean Irish/EU drivers licence.
Previous internship or industry experience in electrical/power systems is beneficial.
Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Apply electrical engineering principles to planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of grid infrastructure.
Support development and delivery of project electrical engineering works and services.
Attend team, site and design meetings to support on-time, on-budget project delivery and safety compliance.
Develop engineering options assessments for grid connection solutions for renewables.
Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings and technical reports for renewable energy projects.
Coordinate grid code testing and prepare reports per system operator standards.
Review technical documents and tender/contract documentation.
Monitor and report on design, manufacture, construction and operation to meet project requirements.
Develop in-house designs and tools to improve delivery and keep up-to-date with grid regulations.
