Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in industrial maintenance and reliability.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills – Adaptable and flexible, solution driven.
• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies and process optimisation is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach to learning.
• Proficiency in data analysis and high efficiency in Microsoft Office & related software tools. Ability to produce high quality, informative reports is key.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance strategies to ensure maximum reliability and performance of electro-mechanical systems.
• Assist in project execution from planning and design to implementation and optimisation.
• Contribute to commercial activities such as tendering, quotations, and procurement support.
• Collaborate with different departments to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement key processes that enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Tendering, Quotations & Reporting Analytics: prepare quotations and tenders, assist in cost estimation and technical documentation, support data analysis and reporting.
• Project Support & Implementation: contribute to projects across water, wastewater, and industrial site services; assist in planning, coordination, and execution; collaborate with engineers, technicians and clients.
• Compliance & Safety: ensure activities comply with regulations and safety standards; participate in training and QA initiatives.
• LEAN Process Development & Operational Efficiency: analyse workflows and implement LEAN to improve productivity and reduce waste; support continuous improvement.
• Plant and Equipment Maintenance Processes: develop preventive maintenance schedules; optimise equipment reliability; implement condition monitoring.
• Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support: support maintenance, repair, and servicing of motors, gearboxes, pumps, and generators; troubleshoot faults; work with technicians.
• Procurement and Ordering: streamline ordering processes; identify cost-saving opportunities; liaise with suppliers for timely delivery.
