Job summary

Avonmore Electrical Co. Ltd, Ireland’s leading Electromechanical Repair and Installation company, is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our workshop team.

The role focuses on streamlining, developing, and implementing key processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to optimise workflows, improve maintenance procedures, and support procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Mechanical Engineering qualification (certificate, diploma or degree).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of LEAN methodologies and process optimisation is desirable.
• Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft software.
• Good record-keeping in internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and workshop staff to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Manage and coordinate mechanical aspects of projects, including budgets, schedules and resources.
