Job summary

AvaTrade in Dublin seeks a Graduate Dealer to join the Dealing team. This role offers hands-on experience on the dealing desk, close collaboration with experienced dealers, and insight into trading, markets, and execution.

You will gain structured on-desk training across platforms and products, with mentorship and a clear path toward a full Dealer role. A hybrid work arrangement supports initial onsite training and subsequent flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or quantitative field preferred.
• Interest in financial markets and how trading processes, systems, and data interact.
• Internship or prior experience in financial services or trading operations is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor daily and event-driven dealing processes across the company’s trading platforms.
• Track client orders, open positions, and execution quality; escalate discrepancies to senior dealers.
• Investigate trading and operational discrepancies and identify underlying causes.
• Monitor markets, liquidity, and trading exposure against limits; flag material changes.
• Run checks on trading platforms, price feeds, and instrument settings.
• Create and maintain dealing procedures, controls, and handover records.
• Use data and digital tools to analyze issues and improve recurring activities.
• Build knowledge to support complex instrument and trading-related queries.
• Contribute to team projects and shift coverage across trading hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor daily and event-driven dealing processes across the company’s trading platforms.
• Track client orders, open positions, and execution quality, escalating discrepancies to senior dealers.
• Investigate trading and operational discrepancies and help identify their underlying causes.
• Monitor markets, liquidity, and trading exposure against established limits, flagging material changes promptly.
• Run routine checks on trading platforms, price feeds, and instrument settings.
• Create and maintain clear dealing procedures, operational controls, and handover records.
• Use data and available digital tools to analyze issues and improve recurring activities.
• Build the knowledge needed to support complex instrument and trading-related queries.
• Contribute to team projects, wider operational improvements, and shift coverage across trading hours.

Requirements

• Currently completing or recently completed a degree, with Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or another quantitative discipline preferred; strong applicants from other academic backgrounds are also welcome.
• Interest in financial markets and curiosity about how trading processes, systems, and data work together.
• Internship or prior experience in financial services, brokerage, or trading operations is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability and motivation to learn unfamiliar concepts and tools quickly.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
• Existing right to work in Ireland.
