Job summary

Arup, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Bridge & Civil Structures Engineer in Ireland. You will work with experienced engineers on challenging projects, developing technical, digital and professional skills for a rewarding career.

You will support analysis/design of bridges and infrastructure, develop models, prepare technical documentation and collaborate across disciplines to deliver sustainable, resilient solutions from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Interest in bridge engineering and civil structures.
• Understanding structural analysis and design principles.
• Knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and composite structures.
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla, SOFiSTiK, MIDAS, LUSAS or Robot Structural Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis and design of bridges, retaining structures and civil infrastructure.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Develop structural models and undertake engineering assessments using industry-standard software.
• Contribute to the design of sustainable, resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across highways, rail, geotechnical and environmental disciplines.
• Support production and coordination of drawings and BIM deliverables.
• Participate in site visits, inspections and construction support activities.
• Contribute to all stages of the design lifecycle from concept to construction.
