Job summary

Rent a Recruiter is assisting on an Active Travel scheme in Co. Meath with an Assistant Resident Engineer role from August 2026 to January 2027, with potential for extension. The position offers hands-on site experience on a live infrastructure project.

Key requirements include a Level 7/8 Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, completed internship or site placement, and strong communication skills. A full driving licence and SafePass are required; AutoCAD experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Recent Civil Engineering graduate or near completion with internship/site exposure.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities to support site operations.
• Positive, proactive approach with ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site supervision and daily inspections.
• Support reporting, monitoring and contract administration tasks.
• Collaborate with Senior Resident Engineer and project team to ensure compliance and progress.
