Job summary

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP in Ireland is seeking a graduate engineer to help build and automate our AI capability. You’ll design, build and support tools, integrations and agent workflows that connect AI models like Claude and ChatGPT to our Microsoft 365 estate, and help shape the engineering practices of a new AI function.

This hands-on role offers broad exposure across the full stack of AI automation work, with governance and security considerations baked in from day one.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or related field or equivalent portfolio.
• Curious, self-directed and able to work with confidentiality.
• Experience with AI tooling and APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain internal tools and automations using large language models.
• Design and develop REST APIs and integrations for secure model usage.
• Write clean, tested code in Rust and Python; contribute to GitHub workflows and CI/CD.
• Assist in prompt design, orchestration and evaluation of AI workflows.
• Support governance, data protection and information security requirements.
