Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking an EngProd Software Engineer to design, implement, and scale the systems used by Arista’s development teams across CI/CD and observability tooling. You will work with Linux/UNIX environments and collaborate with multiple engineering groups to deliver reliable, high-performance software.

You will own projects from definition to deployment and interact with stakeholders as needed, contributing to a growth-oriented culture and opportunities to shift focus within EngProd

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science with 3+ years experience, MS with 2+ years or PhD equivalent.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX.
• Understanding of operating systems, networking and distributed systems.
• Applied software engineering principles.
• Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design solutions and implement features independently; work in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.
• Design and develop features, feature tests and solutions. Fix bugs and refactor code as needed.
• Work with Arista’s software engineers to identify bottlenecks and limitations in our workflows, tooling, and infrastructure and provide fixes for those problems.
• Provide support for our tools and infrastructure to Arista’s development team.
