Job summary

ESS LTD in Ireland seeks an Utilities Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility and process systems at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

The role involves hands-on technical support, SAP CMMS SAP PM familiarity, calibration, validation, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality and external contractors. A degree in engineering and 3 years’ pharma experience are preferred; strong GMP compliance and communication skills are

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma/Apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in pharmaceutical/medical device industry.
• Qualification in instrumentation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of GMP practices and documentation.
• Strong ability to interpret P&ID, HVAC, utility schematics and electrical drawings.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with SAP PM module is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Day to day operation, repair and maintenance of all utilities and systems to support the facility and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with site maintenance technicians on planned and reactive maintenance.
• Coordinate servicing, calibration and validation with Manufacturing, Quality and external vendors.
• Guide external service contractors on site (permits, supervision, access control).
• Provide hands-on technical support for plant utility and process systems and contribute to CMMS (SAP) maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety practices and LOTO procedures.
• Create maintenance task lists and energy control procedures with minimal supervision.
• Assist with CMMS implementation and development of maintenance documentation.
