Job summary

BioMarin in Ireland is seeking a Lab Services Technician on a 12-month contract to oversee all day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure timely support for Biologics Centre of Excellence (BCoE) lab studies, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

You will prepare buffers, media and cleaning solutions, verify pH and conductivity, perform routine calibration, maintain the fridge and freezer sample tracking system, and liaise with the Equipment Manager on equipment issues,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of laboratory housekeeping experience, preferably in a GMP facility.
• NCEA certificate in a related discipline; administrative qualifications are acceptable, a qualification is preferable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to use a computer effectively as work requires.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day laboratory housekeeping and support lab studies.
• Prepare buffers, media and cleaning solutions; verify pH and other attributes.
• Maintain fridge/freezer sample tracking and perform periodic defrosts.
• Liaise with Equipment Manager on equipment issues.
• Aid in safety compliance and 6S implementation.
