Job summary

Novartis Ireland seeks a senior leader to drive the Vendor Partnerships & Governance function for Duchenne/Development units. The role focuses on vendor strategy, portfolio alignment, and cross-program execution to ensure quality and timely delivery of outsourced services.

You will lead global teams, engage senior stakeholders, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement to keep patient outcomes at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of experience with pharmaceutical clinical drug development.
• Proven experience leading global teams within a complex matrix organization.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical development processes and aligning vendor objectives to DU priorities.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to advocate for new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DU-aligned Vendor Program Strategy Directors and Trial Vendor Managers to deliver DU Vendor portfolio, program, and clinical trial objectives.
• Own the DU-level vendor strategy and oversee its execution, ensuring alignment with development priorities and milestones.
• Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Assess DU portfolio health and evolve vendor strategies across programs, applying lessons learned and innovative approaches.
• Represent Vendor Partnerships & Governance in DU strategic planning and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align priorities.
