Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland offers a full-time internship focused on Red Hat Ansible Tower and Ansible Engine. You will complete onboarding, learn terminology and tooling, and work closely with senior engineers to resolve customer cases.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship.
• Must be able to join full-time from January to August 2027.
• Basic knowledge of Ansible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial Ansible onboarding and learning materials.
• Engage with senior team members for mentoring.
• Support customers through ticketing system, remote sessions, chat, and/or phone.
• Provide resolutions to customer cases.
• Proactively collect data, customer impact, and information needed for solutions.
• Learn AAP terminology, installations, upgrades, backup and restore
• Learn Automation Hub, Insight, and case workflow
• Address and resolve customer issues regarding Red Hat Ansible Tower via the ticketing system
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer solutions
• Create and execute testing strategies to reproduce customer environments, issues, and bugs involving Red Hat Ansible Tower and Ansible Engine
• Work with customers to migrate, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat Ansible Tower
• Collaborate with in-house support engineers and developers to produce solutions and improve customer satisfaction
• Take ownership of assigned activities, resolve problems, and support team initiatives

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship
• Must be able to join full-time from January to August 2027
• Working knowledge of written and spoken English
• Passion for problem solving, investigation and learning new things
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability, creativity, adaptability, and time management
• Prior participation in open source software projects is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Ansible is a plus
• CV should clearly outline education, relevant projects, GitHub account, and extracurricular activities
