Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Global Operational Technology Engineer based in Cork to join our engineering function. This role focuses on AVEVA-based platforms, MES integrations and securing OT systems across PGCS sites worldwide, delivering reliable data exchange between automation and enterprise layers.

You will lead OT standardisation, work with system integrators, and provide training to site teams, ensuring compliance with GAMP and PepsiCo cybersecurity standards while supporting lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5–10 years’ experience in industrial automation or OT roles.
• Experience delivering OT/automation solutions within manufacturing.
• Experience managing system integrators and automation vendors.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and secure industrial architectures.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery, integration and sustainment of OT systems across PGCS sites globally.
• Focus on AVEVA-based platforms and MES-enabled manufacturing.
• Ensure reliable data exchange between automation and enterprise layers; drive standardisation and cybersecurity compliance.
• Provide technical governance to ensure projects align with PepsiCo automation specifications and best practices.
• Deliver knowledge transfer and training to site teams for successful operational handover.
• Engage with global stakeholders across Engineering, IT, Digital Factory and Supply Chain.
