Job summary

The National Gallery of Ireland invites applications for an Assistant Collection Registrar in the Exhibitions and Collection Services Department on a permanent basis. This role supports high-level compliance enabling international collaboration, public accessibility and good governance.

Reporting to the Collection Registrar, the successful candidate will assist with outgoing loans, acquisitions, shipments and records management using the Gallery's CMS (TMS preferred).

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in a related field such as Museum Studies or Arts Administration.
• At least two years’ experience in a museum or cultural institution.
• Experience of the international loans process.
• Excellent IT and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and documenting all outgoing loans and long loans.
• Assist in processing acquisitions and ensuring artworks are photographed and documented.
• Assist in managing long-term loans-out to embassies and venues.
• Ensure records on the CMS are up to date and accurate.
