Everest International Insurance, based in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for EIID to lead risk management across the Irish entity, UK branch, and international division, including GW&S and run-off activities.

The role reports to the EIID Board and Risk Committee, requires PCF14 accountability, and involves shaping risk culture, governance, and strategic risk oversight across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of non-life insurance risks with regulatory expectations (CBI, PRA/FCA).
• Ability to apply analytical judgement and provide constructive challenge on complex risk matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to influence senior stakeholders across functions and jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting organisational change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Risk Management Framework aligned to regulatory expectations and Group ERM.
• Oversee Own Risk and Solvency Assessment, stress testing and recovery planning.
• Provide leadership to the risk management team and promote a strong risk culture.
• Develop and deliver the Annual Risk Plan and provide independent challenge to strategic initiatives.
• Ensure risk monitoring dashboards and governance reporting are in place and effective.
• Provide second-line oversight of the retail run-off portfolio and associated governance.
• Prepare high-quality risk papers for management, Risk Committee and the Board.
• Collaborate with international risk teams to ensure coherent application of the Risk Management Framework.
