Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering leader for Leixlip, Ireland. The role focuses on guiding safety-first operations, customer relationships, and strategic initiatives to drive business performance.

You will lead a team of engineers, manage complex customer ramps, and partner with Finance to forecast and plan resources. A strong commercial mindset and 6+ years in a technical setting are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a technical service, operations or engineering environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing customer, operational and business priorities.
• Experience managing budgets, operational metrics and performance objectives.
• Ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Semiconductor industry experience, or experience in a comparable high-technology environment, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety standards across the region.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and lead ramps, escalations and key activities.
• Drive revenue, margin, utilization and cost objectives in service operations.
• Coach and develop engineers and frontline leaders to establish a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver operational insights and drive growth initiatives.
• Plan resources, training and long-range readiness for future business needs.
