Job summary

Sanderson in Dublin is seeking a Global Category Manager for Direct Materials to lead category strategy, supplier performance and commercial delivery across a global spend portfolio. The role involves shaping long-term supply strategies, driving cost competitiveness, and supporting new product introduction programmes with cross-functional teams.

You will report to the global procurement leadership team, own category strategy, supplier segmentation and governance across assigned categories, and

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in Procurement, Category Management or Supply Chain within a multinational environment.
• Proven success developing and delivering global category strategies.
• Strong experience managing complex global supplier relationships and commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver cost reduction through should cost analysis, TCO modelling and supplier challenge.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global category strategies across international supplier networks.
• Own supplier panel strategy including supplier consolidation, dual sourcing and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Lead strategic supplier negotiations and commercial framework agreements.
• Drive should cost modelling, total cost of ownership analysis and value engineering initiatives.
• Partner with product development and engineering teams to support new product introduction activities.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships focused on innovation, cost and performance.
• Establish supplier segmentation and governance frameworks.
• Lead supplier performance management across cost, quality, delivery and innovation metrics.
• Support responsible sourcing and supplier compliance programmes.
• Identify opportunities for supply continuity, resilience and operational improvement.
